You can look forward to a high-calibre selection of formations during the third Carinthian Brass Fall.
In addition to the young local brass sound, you can also listen to the international brass band scene at the Ossiach Abbey. For the first time, we will welcome a band from the country where brass originated with the English Fairey (Geneva) Band.
The Brass Ensemble of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra from the Netherlands will present the variety of brass instruments at a high level. The brass players of this orchestra, which is among the best in the world, sound light, powerful and cultivated. One of the arguably most successful brass ensembles is the Quintett Canadian Brass, which will perform their only concert in Austria for 2011 in Ossiach. They will also be available for a workshop.
Together with the HoViHoLoHoff Austrian Brass Quintet, the Brass Boys will open the series of Carinthian Brass Concerts in 2011.
Directly from HoViHoLoHoff's Oberkärntner Blechbläserwerkstatt, the Quintet also won the 11th International Brass Competition in Passau/Germany after taking first place at the national talent competition Music in Small Groups in 2010.
The Original Brass Band instrumentation can be heard with the Brass Band of the Carinthian Academy of Music. The Carinthian Youth Brass Band, which was founded in Ossiach in 2009 and is sponsored by the CMA, will also be integrated into this concert evening.

Seating is not assigned in general. Seat reservations are available for the first 5 rows for 50 visitors per concert for a surcharge of 10 euros per ticket. The reservation request must be made in writing or via telephone at least one day before the concert.
