    Combining music and vacation. This course offers room for solo literature (please prepare 2-3 pieces), but also for four-handed compositions. The participants can dedicate themselves entirely to their music – on holidays. Deepening of knowledge under the guidance of professional lecturers, combination of relaxation, inspiration and learning. This course is targeted at adult amateur musicians.

    Requirements for B-level: 1-2 years of constant playing practice. With your skills, you should be able to play: Schumann – Album für die Jugend, Bach – small preludes and easy sonatas. Requirements for C-level: min. 3 years of constant playing practice. With your skills, you should be able to play: Chopin – easy waltzes, intermediate sonatas by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Inventions by Bach. Stylistics: Classical piano literature. 30 minutes of one-on-one lessons per day and participant. Group lessons on themes such as polyphonic play, pedal techniques, training techniques, body awareness, musical awareness and development. Four-handed play. Additionally offered within this course: Performance coaching.

    The focus of this course is ensemble playing in various formations – trio, quartet, quintet. In the morning classes for the entire group, participants will learn additional knowledge and skills in the fields of technique, posture, intonation and approach. The learning about different musical tools will also be part of this class, where it is always about seeing and experiencing music as a means of personal expression and developing an individual interpretation. One-on-one lessons are available as well. Advanced pianists can also attend this course as accompanists. Combine Music with vacation. This course is targeted towards adult amateur musicians.

    Requirements: Intermediate level, knowledge of the entire range of the transverse flute, solid knowledge in reading notes, confidence in playing up to 4# and 4b, studied in musical scales and triads, rhythmical awareness of syncopations, change of time, confident skills in ensemble playing as well as a minimum of three years of constant playing practice and training. Knowledge of chromatic scale as well as the techniques of double tongue and vibrato are desirable or should be at least “in progress”.

    Requirements for D-level: Advanced players with many years of constant and intensive playing practice. Confident knowledge of the entire range of the transverse flute. Chromatic, double tongue and vibrato. Easy handling of complex rhythmical structures, experience in different lineups, very good knowledge of reading notes and being able to play at sight are expected.

    Contents and topics are tailored to the individual requests and needs of the participants: Repertoire and proper interpretation style, historical performance practice, advanced techniques of New Music, flute ensemble playing from duo to orchestra, basics of flute techniques (breathing, tone formation, intonation, dynamic, vibrato, articulation, finger technique), “Kurz und gut” – the Art of Rehearsing, performance coaching, exam preparations. The flute in the field of jazz (history, playing techniques, improvisation), methodology and didactics for teaching flutists. One-on-one courses upon request.

    This course is targeted at chamber music for mixed ensembles (wind, string and piano) from the Baroque up until the classic Modernism. The workshop is open for permanent ensembles and individual players. Aside from clarinetist Jutta Fischer, cellist Bernhard Spranger will be leading the course. Pianists can also register for this course. The following topics will be the focus of this course: musical interpretation, ensemble playing, intonation, sound composition, rhythm, efficient rehearsal planning. Individual participants will be selected to play in ensembles together. The lineup of ensembles as well as the repertoire will be determined and announced before the course starts.

    REQUIREMENTS

    The past year has not been easy for all of us - we still find ourselves in difficult times. This is the reason why in this year, the Percussion Camp focuses not only on feel-good-music but also on our general wellbeing. A mixture of work, sports, yoga and relaxation.

    JUST RELAX - starting with a MORNING YOGA FLOW, enjoying music of LATIN- AFRO- & BRAZILIAN PERCUSSION, playing HANDPAN, getting loud while singing in the CAMP CHOIR, ending a working day with a juicy OUTDOOR SPORTS session or another YOGA CLASS before heading of to DINNER and jumping into the LAKE one last time. Still not tired? You can practise until 10 in the evening or participate in our evening programme: DRUMCIRCLE, TALK and the famous OPEN STAGE.

    Development of a music program with 3 active participants under the supervision of lecturer Pieter Jansen/NL and more music lecturers. Offers the possibility for a weekend rehearsal for music societies with an ideal infrastructure and under the guidance of practically oriented experts. Improvement of the overall musical understanding, the development of professional qualities of the conductors and musicians, the exchange of experiences and knowledge, the enhancement of orchestral sound performance and implementing of measures of sound improvement, general rehearsal methodology and didactics.

    TARGET GROUP

    Advanced training series for conductors and brass orchestras. Active participation: A maximum of 4 conductors work actively with the training orchestra. Passive participation: Working conductors and their substitutes, participants of EBO seminars, students as well as interested musicians.
