Sax for Silverheads

1.10.2019

Dates to be requested at the CMA.

When is the best time to start learning to play the saxophone? Well, now. Because it doesn’t matter if you are 40, 60 or 80 years old – it is never too late to start learning to play a new instrument. You don’t believe that? Then this workshop called “Sax for Silverheads” is perfect for you. Here, even late starters who have never played or even held an instrument in their life, will learn how to get the beautiful sound out of a saxophone. Intrigued? Then register for this course hosted by Harald Simschitz that takes place twice a month. Also, because it has been proven that actively playing an instrument enhances the quality of life. No matter your age. And that sounds pretty great, doesn’t it? Interested participants are very welcome to come for a trial day.

Under the professional guidance by music teacher Harald Simschitz and in small groups of maximum 10 people, participants will learn the basics about playing the saxophone: Finger exercises, short scale sequences, scale training exercise as well as playing easy evergreens and hits. A YAMAHA saxophone (incl. mouthpiece) can be provided upon request.
