The composer Jan Müller-Wieland is one of the most versatile and prolific voices in contemporary music. His works – ranging from large-scale stage productions and orchestral compositions to finely nuanced chamber music – are performed internationally by renowned soloists and ensembles. He has served as Composer in Residence at institutions such as the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, the Beaux Arts Trio, and the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra in Moscow. Since 2007, he has been Professor of Composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.

About the Masterclass
This exclusive masterclass is aimed at composers who wish to deepen, reflect upon, and further develop their work through exchange with one of today’s most distinguished composers. At the heart of the program lies group instruction, focusing on core topics in composition, work analysis, and questions of musical form, dramaturgy, and sound design.
