A concert between darkness and light.
We sing of the setting sun and of the night slowly giving way to the first rays of morning. It is about longing and hope, about farewell and new beginnings – moving towards the light, svetlobi naproti.
Contemporary choral music meets pop classics, sacred music encounters folk songs – and sometimes, we find the light precisely where we least expect it.
Through a diverse selection of choral works, we will search for light in all its many forms: in the warmth of the sun, the gentleness of its rays, the mysterious glow of the stars, and in those moments when the path ahead suddenly becomes clear.
Music will guide us through darkness and doubt towards truth, peace and a new beginning. Join us for an evening in which we step towards the light – together.

About the Choir

The Carinthian Youth Choir / Koroška Youth Choir was founded in 2005 as a project-based and auditioned choir of the Carinthian Choral Association, with the support of the Province of Carinthia. Today, it brings together more than 50 members between the ages of 16 and 27.
The choir unites young voices from across the region and offers its members the opportunity to rehearse an ambitious and diverse programme during several intensive rehearsal weekends each year, while continuously developing their musical skills.
Highlights include concert tours to South Africa (2014), Japan (2019) and California (2024), as well as numerous successes in international competitions. The choir won the overall prize at Praga Cantat in the Czech Republic (2015), Cracovia Cantans in Poland (2018), and Sound Waves Linz (2023).
